Cline (VS Code) Integration
Complete guide for configuring Qorebit with Cline (formerly Claude Dev) to build software faster inside your IDE using multiple models.
Why use Qorebit with Cline?
Cline is an autonomous coding agent that lives in your IDE. It can create and edit files, execute terminal commands, and navigate your codebase. By pointing Cline to Qorebit, you can effortlessly swap between top-tier coding models like Claude 3.5 Sonnet, GPT-4o, and DeepSeek Coder without juggling different API keys or managing multiple provider billing accounts.
Setup in VS Code
Integrating Qorebit into Cline takes only a few seconds through the extension settings.
1. Open Cline Settings
Launch Cline in your VS Code sidebar and click the Settings icon (⚙️) located at the top right of the Cline panel.

2. Configure API Provider
Under the API Provider dropdown, select OpenAI Compatible. Then, fill in the fields as follows:
- Base URL:
https://api.qorebit.ai/v1 - API Key: Paste your Qorebit API key (starting with
qb_live_). - Model ID: Enter your preferred model (e.g.,
anthropic/claude-3-5-sonnet).

3. Save and Start Coding
Click Done. Cline is now fully connected to Qorebit! You can ask it to generate code, refactor files, or debug terminal errors, and all traffic will automatically route through your unified Qorebit balance.
Recommended Models for Cline
Because Cline relies on complex system prompts and tool calling (like reading files and executing bash commands), we highly recommend using anthropic/claude-3-5-sonnet. It is widely considered the best model for autonomous software engineering tasks. You can explore other supported options in our Model Library.
